Ive been waiting for today, it really meant a lot me because it was the beginning of my adventure and going across the world visiting different places and cultures. When i woke up today I pictured myself taking pictures of the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano because it was the first place were i was going to visit once I got to Iceland. But everything turned out to be bad. I was running late even though i got out of my house four hours before the departure. The reason I got to the airport late was because I couldn't find a ride to the airport. I was waiting for my brother to pick me up and take me but he lived to far and the gas was too expensive for him to pump gas and to come all the way to Los Angeles if he live in Anaheim. So i decide to call a taxi, I asked them how much would they charge me to get to LAX. They told me that they would charge me around be $100. It sounded like a lot of money and I asked him why too much and he said it was because its hard to find oil these days that the prices went up.When i heard that i just hanged up the phone. I couldn't afford paying $100, but the guy was saying the true. Now that there's a oil shortage the price of the gas has gone really high like about $7 a gallon. People have found ways to get to places like horses. My neighbors just bought some horses and a carriage, so they gave me a ride to the airport. When I got there my flight was canceled because Eyjafjallajoekull had just erupted. If i knew that my flight was going to be canceled i wouldn't have gone through everything i went us to get to the airport. When i got there the airport was full because everyone that were flying to Europe flight had been canceled. I asked for refunds because you never know when the sky will clear up in Iceland. The good thing is that i didn't paid $100 or else i would of paid doubled to get back home. Now it will take me about 12 months to step next to Eyjafjallajoekull because it was fresh and there will be ashes. Now I have cancel all my reservations and see hat day is open.

Oh wow, this sounds horrible; I have experienced such hardship also. The prices are outrageously high. I was unable to take the airplane since oil is necessary to fuel the plane, so I had to stay home, when I could of been in Hawaii. What airplane did you go to? I went to the American Airline.
ReplyDeleteI liked your blog, but I strongly advise you to correct your grammar because it makes it seem very unprofessionally. The story is good, it kept me entertained. (Great citing source!) I hope to hear more!
