It was hard, but we finally got through the oil crisis. Human kind was put into a huge test to see if people were ready to face a world without oil. This just proves that we’re not ready for an oil limitation. People are scared of what’s to come. Riots and criticism are increasing since people are questioning and doubting the president because they think he can not handle the current crisis. Prices of gas and cargo industry rose because there wasn’t oil to transport goods. The oil spill also increased the price of seafood products because fishermen had to look for fish in other areas were there oil did not contaminate the sea. Now that the petroleum industry found more oil we are back to normal. I can start eating fish again because I wasn’t willing to pay double in price. That’s why we need to stop our dependency on oil and start using other resources that can substitute these goods. We can start using cloth bags instead of the plastic bags that they give in the markets. We can also use electrical cars instead of the ones run by gas, and solar power electricity for our homes. The government should provide the communities with recycling bins so that recycling becomes a daily routine. Energy laws should be created that make people start carrying for their environment. It won’t be hard for me to adjust to this new lifestyle because I’m an eco-friendly person and I really care about our environment. At home, we’re always recycling bottles, cans, and reuse plastic bags. We also try to walk more instead of using the car. So, let’s start now before the real oil shortage increases.
